Go for a walk or a run in nature, as being outside will help you relax and lower your anxiety.

Volunteer in whatever capacity you prefer; helping others will, in turn, help you.

Start a new hobby.

Listen to uplifting music.

Make a list of all the things you are grateful for, no matter how small, and keep adding to it every day. You will be surprised by how much you already have to appreciate.

Spend more time with people you love and never take them for granted.

Check social media accounts less frequently and try to live in the present more.

Remember that no person on earth has a perfect life, no matter how perfect it may seem on Instagram. At the end of the day we all have our struggles and failures, but we also have so much to be thankful for — no matter what.

As the saying goes, “life happens when we’re busy making other plans”. Don’t keep putting off things you want to do and people you want to see until “someday”. For example, if you miss someone, pick up the phone and call them. Chances are, they are missing you too.

And finally, forgive people who have hurt you. I have been personally amazed by how freeing it is and by its positive impact on my life.
