I have two instances, one for my daughter and another for a three year old in preschool. The child in preschool found her mother on the floor passed out from her sugar level with diabetes. This child called 911 and stayed on the phone until the paramedics arrived and transported her mother to the hospital. We were all bragging on her and she didn’t act like she thought she had done anything special.
One day I was in the kitchen and cut my hand. I was bleeding and ran water over the cut and then went to the bathroom to bandage it. My daughter was 6 at the time and she saw what happened. When I got to the bathroom, she had me sit down. She said she could handle this. I thought I’d go along with her to see how she would do. She put antibiotic ointment on the cut, then applied a gauze pad and put paper tape on it. While she was taking care of me she asked me if I was going to have to go to the hospital. I told her no, not with such good care she had given me. Then she replied she was glad because she didn’t know how she was going to drive me there!
