I won the lottery of life.
I was born in a developed country, which means that I am offered freedom, education and considerable wealth.
I was born at a time when women can decide for themselves.
Being born into a middle-class American family, I am one of the 0.97% of the highest incomes of families in the world.
Advances in technology such as the dishwasher, washing machine and computers gave me 5 hours more free time per week than my parents, 40 hours more than my grand-parents.
Technology and freedom to inform me allow me to learn anything and pursue any career.
Call it what you want: fate, luck or evolution – I had an incredible chance. It would be better if I did not waste it.
