A Dream Day

Author Brigitte Gauthier

I could do everything I wanted. I did not have errands, nor commitment, the house is all for me… not a body in sight…

So, what did I do? First… I proudly wore lounging clothes all day. I proudly wore my house attire all day long. I didn’t even make my bed!
I baked my favorite cookies: the very best…peanut butter! Tender and tasty, no flour, and sweetened with maple syrup.

I checked my e-mails, opened Facebook and checked the news from my close friends. I commented – responding to everyone.

I wrote posts for my Fally Ipupa FAN pages and Ladysmith Black Mambazo. I listened to music, music, and more music.

Fally Ipupa is a Congolese singer. The Congo separated a while ago so now there are two Congos. A small and a big. The biger being the Democratic Republic of Congo and the smaller is not ‘democratic’. Fally is from the bigger of the two – the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Why do I love Fally?Because his music represents African youth and a philosophy of freedom and democracy. He is already a big star in the African music scene and represents the meaning of ‘success’ to all his fans. Wherever he goes he brings this feeling with him and extends it into the masses.

I chose Fally Ipupa because I absolutely adore the colours and designs of African clothing, and because I plan to open an African clothing store.

By joining the fans of Fally Ipupa, you will have the opportunity of being introduced to the rare collection of unique, high quality African clothing lines which I now offer.

Ladysmith Black Mambazo is an acapella Band from South Africa. The group has been around since 1960.

With 5 Grammy Awards under their belt, they have produced around 20 disks, performed in Africa, Europe and the United States, and have collaborated on recordings with many artists, including Paul Simon. They are always warmly welcomed internationally.

Ladysmith Black Mambazo is truly an institution unto itself!

I am now inviting the millions of fans of the truly amazing and time-proven Ladysmith Black Mambazo to ‘like’ my related Facebook page. By responding to the invitation and following my Facebook page, they will now have the opportunity to look at the truly unique clothing available from my new African boutique.

I discovered an artist for whom I am also considering creating a FAN page on Facebook. What this lady does is so utterly beautiful !

Her name is Sona Jobarteh… you can easily find her on Youtube. Please take a listen.
